Terms of Service

1. Who we are

HomeTeam is a product of StanHattie LLC, an Iowa limited liability company with a registered address at 731 SE Alices Rd PMB 1035, Waukee, IA 50263. "HomeTeam", "we", "our", and "us" mean StanHattie LLC. "You" means the adult account holder agreeing to these terms.

2. What you are agreeing to

By creating an account or otherwise using hometeamkit.com, you agree to these Terms of Service and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

3. Eligibility and age

HomeTeam accounts are for adults, age 18 and older. Children ("Players") are listed on team rosters by a parent, coach, or guardian, but do not create their own accounts and are never asked to provide information directly to the service. You represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of any Player you add.

4. What the service does

HomeTeam lets you manage rec-league and youth sports teams: create leagues, teams, rosters, games, and stats; upload photos; post announcements; browse equipment listings from eBay; and use AI-assisted copy features. We may add or remove features at any time. Core features will remain free for as long as HomeTeam operates.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of photos, rosters, announcements, and other content you upload ("Your Content"). You grant HomeTeam a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to store, transmit, display, and process Your Content solely to operate the service for you and the people you share with. We do not sell Your Content, do not use it to train machine learning models outside the HomeTeam product, and do not share it with third parties except as required to run the service (for example, hosting providers) or to comply with law.

You represent that you have the right to upload Your Content, including photos of other people's children. If you upload a photo of a Player you are not the parent or guardian of, you must have that Player's parent or guardian consent on file.

6. Parental consent and child data

Before any photo of a child can be uploaded or displayed, the child's Family account holder must grant explicit, revocable consent for that specific child. Consent can be withdrawn at any time in your account settings or by emailing support@hometeamkit.com; on withdrawal, photos of that child are removed from HomeTeam within 30 days.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) upload content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or sexually explicit; (b) impersonate another person; (c) attempt to access another user's data; (d) interfere with or disrupt the service; (e) use the service to send spam; (f) scrape or mass-download content you do not own; (g) use the service to target children for advertising or contact outside the context of their team.

8. Marketplace listings

Equipment listings in the HomeTeam marketplace are surfaced from third-party platforms such as eBay. HomeTeam is not the seller. We may earn a referral fee on purchases. Disputes about a specific item, shipment, or refund must be resolved with the third-party seller or platform.

9. Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for a material breach of these terms, for unlawful conduct, or after prolonged inactivity. You may delete your account at any time. On deletion, we anonymize or remove your data on the schedule in the Privacy Policy.

10. Service availability

HomeTeam is provided "as is". We aim for high uptime but do not promise uninterrupted service. We are not liable for lost data, missed games, or other losses caused by downtime, network failures, or data loss. Back up anything you cannot afford to lose.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HomeTeam and StanHattie LLC disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100).

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StanHattie LLC against any claim arising out of your content, your use of the service, or your breach of these terms.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service. Material changes will be announced on this page with a revised "Last updated" date, and for significant changes we will send an email to account holders. Continued use after the effective date of a change means you accept the new terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The exclusive venue for any dispute is the state or federal courts located in Polk County, Iowa.
